Patients do not see distinction between services

I read with interest your News item "GPs triggered review of Scottish control of entry" (PJ, 19 June 2010, p601). As a doctor in a rural dispensing practice, I would like to respond because the implication made is that comments from rural GPs are based on false premise and driven by greed. Neither statement is correct. There is also an implication in the item that the campaign is somehow underhanded and designed to raise tensions and cause needless anxiety in rural communities.
