Where it's a matter of urgency

In the world of garden design, an overactive bladder (OAB) would probably not rate very highly as inspiration. However, designers are often approached by sponsors who are promoting some quite disparate and surprising ideas at the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society shows. The aim of one of the gardens that is being displayed at this year's Hampton Court Palace Flower Show (6-11 July 2010) is to raise awareness of OAB. Christian Jessen, a presenter of Channel 4's "Embarassing bodies" programme, who is due to visit the garden, says: "Many people who have symptoms of OAB suffer in silence because they're too embarrassed to talk about something they feel is a taboo subject. We want to reassure people that they are not alone, and that help to treat the condition is available. If you are suffering from the symptoms of an overactive bladder, go and speak to your doctor who can help you to control your OAB."
