Intensive blood glucose control and treatment for dyslipidaemia reduces the progression of diabetic retinopathy, a study shows.The trial included a subset of type 2 diabetic patients from the ACCORD (action to control cardiovascular risk in diabetes) trial and examined the effects of the three interventions on the eyes of participants over four years.
