Pharmacists' potential within a post-White Paper NHS was highlighted to those attending a Westminster Health Forum meeting on world class commissioning in London last week. Helen Northall, director of NHS Primary Care Commissioning, said that a paradigm shift is needed to achieve the efficiency savings required within the NHS. She emphasised that commissioning needs to be patient centred, with clinical engagement and leadership across the health professions.
