Previous advice from the European Medicines Agency to discourage the concomitant use of proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs) and clopidogrel unless absolutely necessary has been replaced with a warning stating that only concomitant use of clopidogrel and omeprazole or esomeprazole should be discouraged.
