Redesign of primary care needed, says PSNC

Primary care needs to be redesigned so that community pharmacists play a much greater role in helping the NHS and their primary care colleagues, said Sue Sharpe, chief executive officer, Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee.Speaking at the organisation's community pharmacy conference in Birmingham this week Mrs Sharpe said: "The future delivery of health and social care in our communities must incorporate full use of the network of community pharmacies that we have located in the heart of our communities.
