Creating a world-class centre for drug discovery and development

The University of Strathclyde's School of Pharmacy is expanding its facilities to create a world-class, multidisciplinary centre for drug and medicine discovery and development. The university was founded in 1796 as Anderson's Institution, which became Andersons University in 1828, and evolving through the Glasgow and West of Scotland Technical College (1887), the Royal Technical College (1912) and the Royal College of Science and Technology (1956), finally receiving its Royal Charter in 1964.
