Potential interactions with antidiabetic drugs

A 50-year-old woman with type 2 diabetes, hypertension and osteoarthritis, and who takes aspirin 75mg daily, ramipril lOmg daily, glipizide lOmg twice daily and diclofenac modified release 75mg once daily, was diagnosed with recurrent vaginal candidiasis. She was reluctant to use intravaginal clotrimazole, because she had used this in the past and did not think it was effective, so was prescribed fluconazole 100mg weekly for six months.
