Tackling health literacy

According to the Department of Health, health literacy is the relationship between a person's literacy, language and numeracy levels and their ability to receive, understand and process health information. People's levels of health literacy are also tied up with their scientific literacy, their social literacy, their civic literacy and their cultural literacy.
