Call for head-to-head trials of RA biologics

Head-to-head studies of biological disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs are needed, according to Cochrane reviewers.They looked at previously published Cochrane reviews of six biologies (abatacept, adalimumab, anakinra, etanercept, infliximab and rituximab) for rheumatoid arthritis and found few direct comparisons (Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews 2009;4).
