The Scottish Government's recently launched "Better health, better care" action plan pledges to make healthcare more accessible by delivering more local services. Sandra Melville, chairman of the Scottish Pharmacy Board, believes that pharmacy can make a contribution to the priority threats of smoking, alcohol, obesity, unwanted pregnancy and inequalities in health.
