PSNC reveals 3.9 per cent funding increase for the English community pharmacy contract

A 3.9 per cent increase in funding for the community pharmacy contract in England has been negotiated between the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee and the Department of Health. The increase will mean an extra ￡87m for 2009-10 over last year's funding, taking the total funding available to ￡2,300m, the PSNC an- nounced. However, fees and allowances will remain the same, including the fee paid for medicines use reviews .Volume thresholds for the estab-lishment payment and the practice payment will increase by 3 per cent.
