Torisel (temsirolimus;Wyeth) is now indicated for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed and/or refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), according to the updated summary of product characteristics.The recommended dosing regimen for this indication is 175mg infused over a 30-60 minute period once-weekly for three weeks, followed by weekly doses of 75mg infused over a 30-60 minute period.The SPC states that the recommended starting dose of 175mg was associated with a significant incidence of adverse events and required dose reductions or delays in most patients.
