The Royal Pharmaceutical Society has begun the search for a successor to its Secretary and Registrar,Ann Lewis,who has announced her intention to retire in the autumn (PJ,27 January,p1 13).An advertisement in The Pharmaceutical Journal this week (pAOO)offers a six-figure salary for the post of "chief executive officer".However,the Society says that this title is for advertising purposes only and the formal title will be "Chief Executive and Registrar".The advertisement has also appeared in the Sunday Times and can be found on the "job vacancies"page of the Society's website (www.rpsgb.org/societyfunctions).
