Community pharmacies should be contracted by primary care trusts to provide NHS smoking cessation services to hard-to-reach groups of patients, particularly those living in deprived areas, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee have suggested to the Department of Health.
