How well NHS trusts manage Controlled Drugs is to be assessed as part of the Healthcare Commission's annual health check for 2007-08.The commission has set out its plans for future assessments,and says it intends to focus on safety.As part of this,it will ask health care organisations to consider their compliance with new CD Regulations introduced in 2006 and will monitor collaboration with "responsible bodies"as described in these regulations.
