Attempts to identify genetic markers that could be associated with serious adverse drug reactions that occur in certain individuals will be the focus of a new international collaboration.The Serious Adverse Event Consortium is a US-led initiative across aca-demia,the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory bodies.A number of centres in the UK are contributing to the collaboration.
