Pharmacists' reviews of medication can reduce falls among elderly care home residents,a study of care homes in Leeds suggests.Clinical medication reviews,in the presence of the patient and with clinical records available,were conducted by a pharmacist in 65 care homes.In total,315 residents aged over 65 years and taking one or more medicines were reviewed by a pharmacist.A control group of 330 patients underwent usual treatment and 62(18.8 per cent)were reviewed by their GP over the course of six months.
