UPDATE ON IDENTITY COTTONS: A SUMMARY OF THE REPORT FROM THE TFCIP

The ICAC Task Force on Cotton Identity Programs (TFCIP) conducted a survey to learn the location and quantity of identity cotton production, the number of participants, the standards for production and who sets them, how are farmers trained, who are the companies involved with the programs, how are the programs funded, and where do the programs intend to expand in the future. The Organic sector, the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF), and the BCI responded with detailed answers, and followed up with clarifications to complement their answers.
