THE PURPOSE of implementing a precision agriculture management plan is to address field variability, and thereby paw improve the efficiency and profitability of the farm operation. And the most critical component of any such plan is the yield map. Yield maps provide a visual image which shows the variability of yield across a field. The yield map can be used to diagnose the cause of high or low yielding areas.
