The Red Cross in Wuhan City, the capital of Hubei Province, China, commemorated the tenth anniversary of the Wuhan body-donation programme on March 26, 2010. In the past decade, the Wuhan Red Cross received 4511 registrations and 327 donated bodies. Additionally, there were 200 corneal donation registrations and 60 eyes were donated. From Oct 1, 2008, to Sept 30, 2009, all Red Cross organisations in mainland China received 10 423 registrations of bodies; Wuhan City, with 895, was ranked number four in the country.
