Ethical standards in Cambodia: is silent witnessing sufficient?

Lesong Conteh and colleagues (Jan 16, p 239)1 highlight the unexpected economic burden of neglected tropical diseases, and suggest cost-effective interventions. We acknowledge their contribution to this topic; however, they do not discuss several important issues fully. First, as David Molyneux mentions,2 only 0-6% of development assistance for the health sector has been allocated to neglected tropical diseases worldwide. But this is not an inconsequential commitment on the part of donors.
