Radiotherapy hypofractionation in early breast cancer.

In the START B trial (March 29, p 1098), the hazard ratio was lower for all endpoints in the hypofraction-ated group, which received 40 Gy in 15 fractions of 2.67 Gy over 3 weeks, than in the group that received 50 Gy in 25 fractions of 2.0 Gy over 5 weeks. The trial included patients treated with surgery and radiotherapy alone and those who also had chemotherapy.
