Nicholas Seddon (July 12, p 103) seems to hold a very positive view of the current trends in Dutch health care. It might be useful to add that for us working with this system it holds eerie echoes of the US health maintenance organisation (HMO) system, almost universally reviled by all but the insurers, and a nightmare for both patients and doctors.
