A 68-year-old man presented with intermittent gross hematuria. Medical history included smoking and benign prostatic hyperplasia. Contrast enhanced computerized tomography (CT) demonstrated numerous, enhancing renal masses of varying sizes in both kidneys (see figure). Laparo-scopic biopsy of several masses in the left kidney revealed nodules of oncocytic cells, consistent with renal oncocytosis.
