Retroperitoneal plasmacytoma

An 80-year-old man presented with complaints of dys-uria and low back pain that began without an antecedent event or injury. Medical history was significant for multiple myeloma diagnosed 3 years earlier. The back pain was severe at times, ranging from 2 to 7 on a 10-point scale, and was positional and localized to the lumbosacral region. The patient denied specific motor or sensory changes, and reported no fever or weight loss.
