The outlook is negative for an imminent demand recovery, and prices continue to slide as gloom and pessimism overshadow the market. Whereas last month there was the possibility of Chinese consumption firming in Q4, it now appears clear that any recovery will be delayed. Moreover, high prices have attracted marginal production into the market, and this is proving hard to sell in quiet trading conditions.
