While ferrochrome demand is clearly seasonally depressed and in large part explains the decline in spot market prices of late - both for HC and low carbon material; the latter has slipped by 10?/lb month-on-month - leading South African HC producers have decided to continue to reduce production, thereby limiting any excessive build up in producer stocks.
