IT'S DIFFICULT to be green behind the ears at an event like the InfoAg Conference (co-organized by oursister magazine, PrecisionAg), which I attended in St. Louis earlier this summer. The three-day event is a showcase for the latest, sharpest, shiniest and most brilliant pieces of precision agriculture hardware and software in our industry. Thousands of people poured onto the showroom floor to interact with company representatives hawking everything from data collecting software to yield monitors to variable rate applicators.
