Lead: Chinese spot TCs tumble again

The market for lead concentrate has remained tight during the last month despite the full and partialsmelter curtailments during July and August stemming from inspections conducted by China’s CentralEnvironmental Protection Inspector Group in eight of the country’s provinces between 12 July and19 August. And, with concentrate demand now recovering alongside higher lead prices, spot TCs fordomestic tonnages have fallen by as much as RMB200/t in some instances during August.
