After tumbling to 30-month lows below $1,800/t in mid-January, LME lead prices have struggled toregain lost ground. Though quickly bouncing back above $1,800/t within days, to briefly challenge(but not break above) $1,900/t, LME 3-months lead prices had subsequently drifted back down tomostly trade in the mid-$1,800s. This week prices have once again dipped below $1,800/t, part of awider retreat on Greek angst and amid thinner trade as the Chinese New Year holiday break getsunderway.
