China ticking along but plans afoot to rein in battery excess

Recent improvements in the Chinese economy are yet to translate into notable improvements in metals demand. However, lead demand continues to perform better than other metals, currently helped by seasonal factors with the autumn build up in battery stocks and now winter getting underway, but also underpinned by the recovery in battery production this year after last year's disruption.
