Fortunes in the Asian lead market have been somewhat mixed since the start of the year, and March has seen little change. Whilst colder weather at the turn of the year has provided a seasonal boost to replacement battery demand in the key markets of South Korea and Japan, the OE automotive battery sector in these two countries continues to be decidedly lacklustre.
