Market trends: USA/January's orders either equal to or slightly better than December's

January was worse than expected for North American extruders and February looks only slightly better. This month's survey of extruders found that about 50 percent of our extruder contacts say that January shipments were about equal to December shipments and the other 50 percent said January volume was slightly better than December. Every one of them said that January volume was well below January of 08.
