Positive news emerging in all major European economies

We believe the Eurozone's economic recovery will remain sluggish for the first half of the year. Nevertheless, it gained some momentum in April, when all the largest European economies announced positive economic news. However, inflation in the Eurozone in April remained above the ECB ceiling of 2 percent. Hence, interest rates could rise very soon, in response to ECB worries that the inflation rate is not falling fast enough.
