Market trends: USA--End use developments: With 2008 over, businesses brace for 2009

The economic woes of 2008 have been well documented aad one would be hard pressed to find anyone who does not feel that 2009, at the very least, Ql -2009, will be worse. It seems that all end use businesses were hit hard, but it appears that the automotive and construction sectors were caught at ground zero. Many businesses were forced into shutdowns, layoffs and extended closures. Many market participants feel that any sort of government infrastructure plan or loosening of credit will not help end the crisis, but if it can, they are hopeful that it helps sooner than later.
