Exchange stocks continue to rise, bonded stocks flat

In CRU's last Copper Monitor we noted that LME stocks were on the rise, particularly at certain warehouses, and this has continued throughout February, with the gains concentrated in three key locations: New Orleans; Antwerp; and Johor. The three had a combined tonnage of 142,000t at the start of 2013, and this had doubled to 282,000t as at the end of last week (22nd February). Total LME copper cathode stocks amounted to 430,000t on 22nd February, up from 320,000t on 2nd January.
