Consumption trends: Wirerod

Production of wirerod comprises the largest copper semi-fabricated product segment both in terms of total copper content, making up 62 percent, and refined content 73 percent. As such, it is vital to understand developments in this semis segment in order to understand total refined consumption. In October CRU completed this year's Copper Wirerod volume of our Copper Semis Market Service, the findings regarding wirerod production are summarised here.
