Consumption trends: Weak US production weighs on global Q1 growth

Global production of flat-rolled copper and copper alloys recovered slightly into the firstquarter of this year, despite the North American market declining sharply. Overall, copper flatrolledproduction grew by 2.2%, outpacing alloy flat-rolled growth which grew at a slower1.2% in the first quarter.
