Indonesia's Gresik smelter has been shut since the 19th June due to a glitch in the coolingsystem, according to an official from its majority owner Mitsubishi Materials. It is not known howlong repairs will take. Refining operations are continuing using stocks of anode, but productionwill stop once these stocks are depleted. The plant has a capacity of 300,000t/y of refinedcopper.
