LME copper prices broke through $10,000/t

LME 3-month copper prices exceeded $10,000/t and hit a new record high of $10,160/t on 7th February, when SHFE was closed. After that, LME copper prices fell back below $10,000/t, partly due to the increase in Chinese interest rates and market concerns about the impact of surging copper prices on Chinese consumption.
