Comment on “Dipole moment and hyperfine parameters of H~(35)Cl and D(35)~Cl” [J. Chem. Phys. 53, 1686 (1970)]

Recently, my article was discussed in a comprehensive book on the spectroscopy of diatomic molecules authored by Brown and Carrington.2 On page 501 of this book, Brown and Carrington stated that “Kaiser did not list experimental frequencies,” and, for that reason, they “cannot reconstruct his spectra.” This Comment seeks to rectify this omission. The supplemental data3 attached to this Comment contain the measured spectral frequencies, which are here to fore available only in my doctoral thesis.4 It also presents a brief discussion of the Stark-shifted (v=0,J=1) energy levels of H35Cl, which appears in this thesis.
