摘要

The time-dependent heat capacity of glassy water begins its stretched sigmoid-shape rise on heating at its T_g of 136 K, and the viscosity decreases to a value close to ca. 10~13 Poise. Implications of this thermodynamics and kinetics have been discussed earlier. Since water does not supercool easily below 248 K, it has been vitrified by hyperquenching liquid droplets (HGW) or made amorphous by vapor phase deposition (ASW).
