The ambitious target of US $ 5.5 billion set by the Council for the year 2011 - 12 was not only achieved but surpassed informed Mr Vinod K Ladia, chairman, The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council while addressing the Annual General Meeting in Mumbai on 10th September 2012.
