Major coal miner pushes CCS development

BHP BILLITON has formed a partnership with Canadian carbon capture pioneer SaskPower in a bid to boost the use of CCS technology as it seeks to shore up demand for coal. The partners have agreed to establish a knowledge centre to promote research and reduce the cost and risks associated with new CCS projects.
