SINGAPORE'S Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and food giant Nestle have signed a science and technology research deal. Under the three-year agreement, A*STAR and Nestle will set up research programmes for food manufacturing processes, packaging, ingredients and nutrition. Nestle hopes that the work will help optimise its production processes and increase the nutritional value of the food it produces. Food and nutrition is one of A*STAR's five research priorities.
