Today's society requires that we evaluate our impact on the economy and the environment in several different ways. In our attempt to define reductions in environmental impact we use such terms as "Green" or "Sustainable". One of the problemswe face is that of applying a cleardefinition to either of these terms. For some "Green" is a social movement that attempts to influence public policy to focus on the conservation of the ecosystem through sustainable resource management. Many environmental organizations focus on recycling, reducing or reusing materials or natural resources. For many sustainability has economic connotations that means long term financial benefits.
