Overall, European prices have remained stable on month ago levels across all key markets, with minorweakness presenting in some countries. Following a pickup in buying activity in May as mills restockedlow inventory levels, purchases eased somewhat in early June. This is not to say that demand is weak,though mill inventories have now recovered sufficiently to not require further price increases to secureadditional material. However, supply in some regions remains tight enough, due to weaker collection rates,to prevent sharp falls in prices throughout the region.
