摘要

The present review deals with the chemistry of the organotitanium species formed by the reaction of titanium alkoxides of the form XTi(OR)3 (XMe, Cl, OR; Ralkyl) and excess amounts of Grignard reagents. This research area has emerged with the original discovery of a carboxylic ester cyclopropanation process, now commonly referred to as the Kulinkovich reaction, and first reported in 1989 by the group of Kulinkovich in Minsk, Belarus.
