A new report by the Institute of Directors (loD) has highlighted the country's start-up companies risk of being stifled by a lack of suitable employees. A survey of 650 entrepreneurs conducted found that two-fifths (42%) said they experienced trouble hiring people with the right skills. The issue of finding skilled staff was cited by entrepreneurs as the main barrier to growth, followed by trouble accessing finance (39%); the high cost of finance (33%); business taxes (29%), and personal taxes (26%).
